Located in Stamford, Connecticut, The Stamford Water Pollution Control Facility processes wastewater fromthe City of Stamford and the neighboring Town of Darien, and discharges clean water into the East Branch of Stamford Harbor. There has been wastewater treatment at this site since 1900. The first plant was built in 1943, followed by one in 1976, and the latest in 2006.
The Facility is manned twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
