Rules And Regulations Governing Beach Stickers
|
The City of Stamford is currently selling permits for the 2009 summer season. For your convenience City Park Permits can be purchased by mail until April 30th. 2009. Just send a photocopy of your current registration and any other required documentation* along with a check payable to the CITY OF STAMFORD, and a permit will be mailed to you right away.
Permits are required at Cove Island, Cummings, West Beach, Southfield, and Dorothy Heroy Parks from MAY 25th thru SEPTEMBER 7st, 2009.
NOTE: For all stickers, registration must be currently valid, and you must show your registration!
We CANNOT accept expired registration.

Regular stickers are issued to vehicles registered in Stamford. The tax town must read 135 to be issued a sticker for $20.00. |

Senior Stickers can only be issued to persons who are 62 years old or older at the time of purchasing the sticker. The person the vehicle is registered to must prove their age by showing a driver's license or any ID with their birth date. One of the registered owners must be over 62 years of age. The ID must match the name on the registration to purchase a sticker at $7.00.
NOTE: Non-Senior citizens on Federal Social Security fixed incomes due to disability are eligible for the Senior Beach permit rate. The following proof required is acceptable:
1. Medicare Card
2; TPQY form
3. Letter from Social Services, which deem the person disabled and on a fixed income.

Permits are $7 for residents on Federal Social Security fixed incomes due to disability with proof of status. |

Residents of Stamford whose vehicle is not registered in Stamford must show their car registration, Drivers License and any of the following: Utility bill, Golf Permit or W2 Form. All names and Stamford addresses must match. These stickers are $95.00. These stickers are also available to Senior Citizens for $35.00 if registered to a person over 62 years of age. |

In order to obtain a replacement sticker (i.e. car accidents, sale of car, windshield replacement, etc.) you must bring in old sticker and a registration for a free replacement. Failure to bring in the old sticker will require the purchase of a new sticker. If you lose your permit, you MUST purchase a new one. |

If you have a temporary plate and buy a sticker, when you get your permanent plate you may trade it in for a new sticker only if you bring in the original sticker. If you purchase a new car, the same applies. |
